In Bacolod, I’d go straight home from a most rides. Here in Manila, the rush of traffic along Marcos highway and Katipunan takes away a bit of the good vibes from Rizal’s great climbs…a quick loop around the acacia lined streets of UP and its all back.
There’s an island in a lake in an island in this lake which is in this island I’m standing on…
154 Maginhawa
(its ridiculous, the number of good places to eat in this street)

Marcos Highway
late afternoon spin around the UP Oval…great place to for a run or an easy ride
(and all the acacias remind me of SU and Dumaguete which i miss a lot)
Wham! Burgers today, Burger Project sometime this week..
After the long lines in immigration and the long wait for our baggage, an iced coffee in a quiet cafe at the far end of NAIA to bring back some of the good vibes…
sweet asphalt w/ a nice constant gradient, great views of Laguna de Bay…its good to be back riding in RIzal.
This is the 4th time I brought my bike to Manila and this is the 4th time I forgot something…this time its chain lube.
an iced version of this would be a great recovery drink if i knew what spices they put in their tea
i put me feet up for too long the last few weeks…not that i’m complaining.
don’t mind this shot from a VGA phone camera…it just means I’m back riding after more than a week off :)
I’m making up for it anyway: I’ve been playing with my girl’s Sony NEX-5N (had a lot of fun w/ the 16mm lens) and I still have a few more shots left in my toy cam.
good thing there’s no Tablea in Bacolod… I think I am suffering a bit from chocolate withdrawal.
